So, uh… this is the first time I’ve actually submitted a drawing post. This is a picture of a rabbit skull I’m doodling while over at Walkers (a local bar/coffee house - they have free wifi!). I’m still working on it, but I figured I’d post what I have so far. I’m actually starting to feel proud of how better I’ve been getting at drawing lately :D
OK! So posting stuff time. I think I have a few good ideas for a project we’re currently working on. Throwing some ideas around. Like a couple of bees who seek vengeance against a monstrous puppy. Or a jealous black widow. It will make more sense with the final product. Love you <3.
Progress.
I don’t really have much to post about progress, because I don’t have something visual to really show what I’ve accomplished so far. What I can say is that I’ve come up with a plethora of story ideas so far and have already started writing/scripting at least three of them. I have 8 ideas at this point and knowing me I’m sure I’ll add a couple more to that list by tomorrow. I’ll continue scripting stuff for Sunday’s conference call. Until then, space cadets!

Office Space
Not but a few days ago I joined a comic collective; essentially a group of intrepid kids on a quest to make some awesome fucking comics (for the web!). So, for our first assignment, we thought it’d be a good idea to each make a post about our work spaces, materials we use, and our influences. This is such a post.
First, let’s start with what I use:
I tend to gravitate towards the bic # 2 mechanical pencils (0.7mm graphite) for all of the stuff I don’t draw. Seriously though, I mostly like to write things out by hand first as opposed to typing it on the computer. I find I get a lot less distracted that way, and it’s a lot more convenient for me to make notes to myself in the margins. I really want a typewriter, but that’s mostly because I’m slightly a hipster and using them makes me feel cool.
Here is my desk:
That is the desk which is built into the wall in my room. As you can see, I have my all important pen and paper (currently blank) amidst some of their friends: an xbox controller, my laptop with 2 (count ‘em!) keyboards, a lamp, a monitor and the awesome glass from which I drink my whiskey - which is far more important than anything else, even the pen and paper. Although, to be honest, I rarely ever actually write at my desk. Most of the time I’ll just take a pencil and some paper over to a diner (waffle house is a frequent hangout, because they’re open around 2-4 am when I want to jot something down), or a coffee house; though, I prefer diners because I feel a lot less pretentious and, to be honest, I’m only there for the coffee and distinct lack of tv/internet that both establishments usually provide me with.
Fuel:
These are my roommate’s coffee and tea maker. I use them to stay awake sometimes. This is because I find I don’t have the urge to write until I’m laying in bed and trying my hardest to sleep.
Of all the authors who have influenced me, I think the following have really made the biggest dents in my style of writing: Nathaniel Hawthorne, Edgar Allen Poe, Flannery O’Connor, and Ernest Hemingway. I think my 3 favorite comic books series are Transmetropolitan, 30 Days of Night, and The Goon.
I love this town.
So, I finally made it downtown to the record shop this weekend. As per recommendation, I hit up Wuxtry, instead of that other one that I can’t remember. Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed.

I ended up buying the album Exploded Drawing by Polvo. Love it. I also got the first Walking Dead comic. Yep, that’s right, folks - it’s a comic/vinyl shop. I love this town.
Watched this in class today. Such a blast from the past.
